Customer Assistance Manager-In-Training
Madison, WI

As a manager in training, you will work with an experienced Customer Assistance Manager at American TV & Appliance in Madison, Wisconsin to prepare you for placement in a Customer Assistance Manager position. Customer Assistance Managers work among the American management team to ensure every customer who enters American has a very satisfying experience, to create long-term customer relationships. Our managers also work to ensure employees feel a high-level of satisfaction when serving customers and supporting staff.


People Leadership
•Hire, train, mentor, and coach to manage the performance of customer assistance team members within company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
•Work at the customer assistance counter alongside representatives to serve customers and to perform daily observations of performance, offer feedback, provide coaching, and take disciplinary action as necessary.


Customer Service Acumen
•Train, mentor and coach associates to engage customers on a personal level, with a high-level of respect and professionalism.
•Handle escalated or complex customer inquiries in a manner reflective of our store policies.

Store Leadership
•Provide feedback to store manager or Vice President of Customer Assistance to improve store/department processes or procedures.
•Maintain an understanding of American’s sales policies and marketing initiatives.
•Inspire trust with associates at all levels to foster open communication.

Qualifications::
•Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent work experience)
•2-3 years experience coaching and developing a high-performing team
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Strong time-management skills
•Ability to work at various American locations when needed.
•Extreme flexibility to work retail schedule including days, evenings, and weekends.
